Level 2 ILM Award in Leadership & Team skills

The Level 2 Award in Leadership and Management is a short flexible course that will provide the delegate with an introduction to a range of tested tools, methods and theories which a Team Leader will find both practical and effective on a day to day basis. The programme can be taken as a stand alone course or as a lead in to the Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management), and which is also available from the Institute. The course is designed to enable positive changes in performance quickly and economically.


Practising Team Leaders will benefit from learning new skills and confirming current good practice. Potential /aspiring Team Leaders will gain much needed skills, knowledge and confidence in their new role and enable them to demonstrate achievement of a nationally recognised management qualification.

Entry Requirements
This course is designed to provide the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to enable the delegate to improve their performance as a Team Leader. To complete this award you will complete optional units to a value of 3 credits. A typical award course may include:
  • Briefing the work team
  • Induction and Coaching in the workplace
There are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be practicing or aspiring
Team Leaders with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
