Students are required to study two mandatory units - Business Theory and Business Application - and one further unit from the following;

Passenger Transport Operations
Freight Transport Operations
Local Authority Passenger Transport Planning and Provision
Supply Chain Operations
Transport Planning
Green Logistics
Global Logistics
Port Operations
This qualification is open access and no prior qualifications are required. However, for the examination route it is recommended that individuals should be involved with contributing to the establishment of activity places to support logistics and transport operations and managing and controlling operational activities.

For centre-assessed candidates, it is recommended that individuals should be practitioners establishing and supporting the above activities. The course is comprised of two mandatory units and students can then choose to study one option unit from a choice of eight.
